The translated name is "Jewel Dew", Gyokura belongs in a class of the finest green teas produced globally. Before harvesting, the tea bushes are covered with straw shades to slow their growth. The result is an exquisite tea that is low in tanins. This Gyokuro Extra Fine consists only of the tender, dark green leaf tips from the first harvest. It is very flavorful and has a fresh, flowery aroma.
Use 1 teaspoon of tea per cup. Bring water to a boil. Steep for 1.5 minutes.
